Johann Cox
Project Manager ● Historian & Political Sociologist
I have a dual profile as a project professional and academic researcher, with extensive experience in project management across sectors and complementary experience in compliance and regulatory support.
On the professional side, I have led complex, cross-functional projects in strategic reorganisation, office consolidation, and operational process design. I’ve also provided hands-on consulting to startups and small businesses – helping them establish their operations, build workflows, streamline documentation, and meet administrative and regulatory requirements. My approach emphasises executional clarity, stakeholder alignment, and flexible delivery, drawing on methodologies such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, and Lean/Six Sigma.
In parallel, I am a historian and political sociologist specialising in U.S. philanthropic foundations, elite power, and the sociology of knowledge. My research combines strong archival, empirical, and historiographic investigation with political sociology and social network theory, and has led to original conceptual and methodological contributions. I have developed scalable computational models for historical network analysis, integrating Actor–Network Theory (ANT) and Social Network Theory (SNT) with machine learning–assisted workflows for complex data interpretation.
